The Cabinet in the Presidency took on a new status with the
adoption by the Council of Ministers in December 1999,
considering the added responsibilities it would assume on
account of the restructuring of the then Executive
Secretariat.
Duties
Headed by a director who acts as a principal adviser to the
President, the Director of Cabinet:

Assists in monitoring and follow-up activities in
support of the Presidency the President in his duties
and carry out any tasks as assigned by the President

Reviews documents and organizes working sessions between
the President, staff, personalities and visitors
Acts as Secretary and monitors meetings of the Management
Committee (the Commission).
